The Internet and 24-hour reality cable TV seem to have taken all the mystery out of celebrity. But some famous questions cannot be solved by logic or common sense, such as: Who is this person, and why does she think she matters? Here is a sample quote: “Being famous isn’t going to parties … it’s about being able to use the power that we all have to kind of give back.” Name the high-profile nobody.

When a TV show lasts for only 19 episodes but spawns the careers of Jared Leto and Claire Danes, then DVD release is long overdue. During its short-lived run (August 1994 to January 1995), My So-Called Life's exploration of an intelligent, articulate, sensitive girl's stressed adolescence would have been labeled emo if the word had been in use at that time. Are you more drawn to Claire's My So-Called Life drama, or to young Jared in a soft flannel shirt?
